Playgrounds
Where do you take your kids to play in Oxford? or outside of Oxford? What are your favorite parks? How do you get there? Where do you go when the weather's horrible? Let's post our ideas here.

About BloxfordOhio
Coming to Oxford (pop. 22,000) from not-so-big Durham, NC (pop. 200,000) was a shock. Where was the Target? Was there truly only one supermarket? Would we ever eat dim sum again? I've never lived in such a small town before, and when you've got two very small boys to entertain, finding stuff to do can be a challenge.
But now the four of us have started our third year here, and we love it. We love that we can go to the new playground at the Community Park and almost always count on finding someone that we know to play with. I love that my kids know the librarians' names and aren't shy about asking them questions. We constantly bump into friends all over town. And I love that it takes, oh, maybe five minutes to drive pretty much everywhere I need to go.
With this blog, I wanted to create a place where Oxford families could share information about where to eat, where to play, and what to do, especially during a long winter with antsy children. If you've discovered a new hidden playground somewhere, please post some information about it here. If you've got a favorite dish at one of the two Chinese restaurants in town, I'm interested. Post your comments, photos, directions -- anything that might be helpful. I'll slap a label on it and hope that the site becomes searchable that way.
If you have other ideas for the blog, please let me know. Thanks for visiting!
